OGV Issue 18 is out now

Industry publication, Oil & Gas Vision (OGV) have just released their new issue for February. Issue 18 follows on from an optimistic start to the month at Subsea Expo 2019. The company’s media counterpart, OGV TV was there to capture interviews with all the main players and exhibitors, including ROVOP, Baker Hughes, a GE Company and the newly rebranded Rever offshore.

The event was more positive than it has been for years been for years, with new technology at the forefront. This month’s issue highlights a sentiment for industry positivity, echoed through an interview with Hari Vamadevan, UK Regional Manager at DNV GL – Oil and Gas. The company has just launched their ninth Industry Outlook for 2019.

Issue 18’s front cover comes from Subsea 7, a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the evolving energy industry. They are promoting the launch of the Deep 7 Magazine for February. For the first time, this will be distributed inside OGV’s magazine, available in Issue 19, next month.

OGV are delighted to work with Subsea 7 further, with the addition of speaker, Thomas Sunde, VP for Technology at their OTC Business Breakfast on Tuesday 7th May. The full line up of speakers and registration for the event can be found on the “Events” section of their website. The event will also be live streamed in partnership with Oil and Gas UK.

With new technologies at the forefront of Subsea Expo, OGV have highlighted some of the key products coming to market in the magazine’s “Innovation & Technology Zone”. Exhibitors Oceantech, C-Kore and Eddyfi Technologies’ take centre stage to share their latest offerings, which promise to offer added value for their customers and the wider supply chain.

For this month’s “Women in industry” section, OGV cross the globe for an interview with Rakhi Mahbuba, Graduate Structural Engineer, Mining & Minerals Australia at Wood. She gives an insight in to how she started her career journey in the industry and what her long-term plans are for the future.

Issue 18 also marks a new partnership with Oil and Gas UK, who have agreed to provide monthly insights on the industry within the magazine. This issue sees the first installment from CEO Deidre Michie who discusses championing Vision 2035, highlighting the industry’s contribution to a lower carbon economy, and ensuring the sector is a safe and inclusive place to work today and for many years to come
