Greenpeace Chased Out of Aberdeen Harbour – Video

Greenpeace launched a small craft on saturday and took over the mouth of Aberdeen harbour for a short time. The small craft was launched from the Greenpeace ship the Artic Sunrise which has anchored off the coast of Aberdeen.

In the video filmed by Oil and Gas People the Greenpeace vessel can be seen being chased from the harbour by a port authotiy vessel. Prior to the video being filmed the Greenpeace craft  had already made two attempts into the harbour with the port authority vessel in persuit.

It is unclear why Greenpeace were there but BP has been a recent target by the group.

A source close to the harbour confirmed that the vessel entered the port without permission breaching harbour security.
