The scope of work involves five different wall thicknesses and five different diameters and the contract duration is 28 weeks.

Tata Steel has supplied more than one million tonnes of pipeline for oil and gas projects in the North Sea over 24 years – including in excess of 500,000 m of reel installed pipe and more than £250 million invested in subcontracts for North Sea projects.

Barry Rust, Marketing Manager, Energy & Sustainability, said: “This latest contract award builds on our success in the North Sea where we have secured eight projects in just over a year and we look forward to further success as activity in the region improves.

“The stringent dimensional controls offered by our HFI process provides superior shape and ‘weldability’ for faster offshore welding, and our supply chain control ensures we can comply with even the tightest project schedules.”
