Breaking: Offshore Helicopter Declares an Emergency

A Babcock S92 Helicopter flying off the coast of Shetland has just decalred an emergency and looks to be heading towards Sumburgh. The helicopter started squawking on the emergency frequency 7700 at 10:15 am. The helicopter will be met by emergency services when it lands as per standard procedure.

Helicopters have an abundance of precautionary safety systems and most return to base incidents are minor.
